Dogs of InSitu

The InSitu whānau loves dogs.

And as we are rather proud of our own kuri, we thought we’d give a shout out to our dogs of InSitu. And, if you are particularly interested in the archaeological research about kuri in Aotearoa, click here to learn more about Dr Karen Greig’s research into pigs, dogs and chickens in the Pacific past.

Ponga

Ponga is the original InSitu dog, who lives with Lynda and Dave in Awakeri. She’s part lab, part GSP and all parts love and excitement.

Rosie

Rosie is the newest girl on the team and lives with Andy in Whangārei, where she gets to trot around the farm all day, but mostly enjoys following Andy about and taking naps under his desk.

Pipi

Pipi is by far the naughtiest InSitu pup. She was found wandering the Ōpōtiki Drifts before being captured by the pound so retains some street dog habits (eating everything she sees and going tipi haere) but is whole-heartedly adored by Josie and her partner Tom.
